Last week we celebrated the 24th annual Professional Pet Sitters Week!
We celebrated with some pizza, cupcakes and of course the dogs!! Everyday we get to come to work to spend time caring for our packs and we couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Even still people always seem to have questions for us about why we chose the field we are in. So we decided to take the time and answer some common questions pet sitters are asked. From funny to serious these are some of our answers:
What’s your favorite thing about working at Dogwood?
Not surprising the unanimous answer was:
“obviously the dogs!”
What is your favorite activity to do with the dogs?
Paulo and Tori said their favorite is having fun with Bubbles and watching the dogs have fun.
Tammy and Jared enjoy working on “follow the leader” with the pack.
Tanya’s favorite is practicing Group Sit and Recall and seeing the progress the dogs make day to day.
Why did you choose to work with dogs?
Simply put by Griffin and Tori: because dogs are fun and awesome
Jared chose to work with dogs so he can learn more about companion animals
Paulo says “Because I have a deep love for animals and I want to continue to learn about animal behavior”
Describe yourself as a pack leader:
Tanya describes herself as strong and understanding
The most important part about being a pack leader Tammy says is her confidence
Griffin says “I’m a calm and assertive pack leader that the dogs get excited to see!”
